Lindsay Curling Club Day Lady Champions:On Wednesday, April 5th the "Day Ladies" held their year end Banquet and Awards Evening. The ladies were treated to a delicious roast beef dinner prepared by Heaven on Seven caterers. The awards followed the meal and all the Shield Winners were announced and recognized. The following curlers were the overall winners of the Monday and Thursday Leagues. Ladies Section Monday Trophy sponsored by Betty Goard and won by Barb Fairbairn, Shirley Lockwood, Audrey Johnston and Linda Gauthier Ladies Section Thursday Trophy sponsored by Kawartha Lakes Classic Flowers was won by Judy MacLean, Gladys Harris, Carol Hick and Tarina Koty Ladies Section Club Champions were Judy MacLean, Shirley Lockwood, Carol Hick and Tarina Koty Congratulations to all of the Shield and Trophy winners!! It was a great year!!!
Early Bird Registration:Register for the 2017 - 2018 curling season and receive a chance to win your back your membership fees!! Dues must be received on or before June 1, 2017 to be eligible for the draw. The draw will be made at the Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, June 20th, 2017. Accessibility Update:Just a note to bring folks up to date with regard to the proposed accessibility project. We have had meetings with both Wilcox Architects Inc. and Carbon Contracting Inc. and we have discussed the possibility of completing the project in phases as we do not have the funds required to complete the project all at once. We are meeting again in the very near future to discuss the project phases and to get up to date budget costs. I will inform you of more details as they become available.
Annual General Meeting:Plan to attend the AGM on Tuesday, June 20th at 7:00 pm. If you are not able to attend the AGM and would like to fill out the Proxy ( A Proxy Form will be attached in next month's newsletter ) just drop the completed form off at the LCC office and it will be passed on to President Wendy Findlay to act on your behalf. A representative from BDO will give an overview of our Club Assets and Liabilities, and as well, explain some of the categories to you and answer any questions our members may have. Reports will be given by the various sections and any new business will be dealt with. Hope to see you at the meeting on the 20th.
